Linen Napkins & Placemats - 4th June 2017
This linen is a favourite of mine, I bought it at Walthamstow Market so I have been extra selective about how I use it as it requires a significant journey to buy more!
I love how soft the linen is, not too starchy and difficult to manoeuvre, that is what first inspired me to make some simple napkins.
I posted on Instagram when it came to the top stitching as I was having a dilemma about the colour scheme - do I match or contrast? Contrasting won and I opted for a yellow thread to bring out the beautiful colours in the fabric.
All in all I am over the moon with how these turned out; such a simple design but with some very careful planning I was able to produce a very pretty plate!
