Passport holder, Bedding Set & Toy Storage - 19th June 2017
Busy day today as the title should suggest! Such a sunny day and I spent the entirety of it inside sewing!
Whilst waiting patiently for my delivery of fabric I used a little more of my rainforest leaf print linen to make a passport holder. There are a few more ideas left for the holiday essentials; Beach bag, glasses care, now passport holder all done but I have a few more ideas up my sleeve! I love the print so much just looking at it transports me to the beach!
Finally the new fabric arrives and I can get to work! I found some great bunting patterned cotton perfect size for a single bedding set. I used some plain white cotton for the reverse and begun by measuring out the fabric. Combined with the heat, having a table approximately 2' too short makes for tough work! I did eventually manage to complete the set and get the kid's room made up so that I could stand back and admire my work - lovely.
The fabric is really fun and I only have a small amount left. I made a storage bag for the bedroom and those little toys left lying around, lined with my new white linen. I have one piece left of the bunting cotton and I will spend a day or two thinking of something great to make with it, something creative!
Sewing done for the day I retired to the sofa and spent a few hours working on some new bunting of my own, this time crocheted. I working on some new ranges of colours and patterns so that I can have some bunting ready to go for decoration. I have a few sets to string up tomorrow and I can get posting!
